1. 15-Day Functional Guarantee, Troubleshooting, and Options

  • We offer a 15-day return window, starting from the date of delivery, if the device fails to function as described (e.g., hardware malfunction, operating system failure).
  • Mandatory Contact: You must contact PC Repair Solutions Chicago immediately if you experience an issue within the 15-day period.
  • Provide Details: You must provide all requested information regarding the issue (e.g., error messages, steps taken).
  • Troubleshooting First: Our commitment is to help you use your computer easily. We will first attempt to troubleshoot and resolve the issue remotely to avoid unnecessary returns.
  • Customer Options: If the issue cannot be resolved through troubleshooting and is determined to be a verifiable functional fault, you will be offered the choice of a Full Refund (upon return inspection) or a Replacement Device (subject to inventory availability).
  • Eligibility: The return or replacement must be authorized within the 15-day period after mandatory troubleshooting.
  • Return Shipping: For eligible authorized returns under this guarantee, PC Repair Solutions Chicago will provide a pre-paid return shipping label.

2. Strict Conditions for Return Acceptance

  • To be eligible for any refund, the returned device must meet the following strict conditions:
  • Same Condition: The device must be returned in the exact same physical and operational condition as when you received it. This includes all original parts, accessories (cables, manuals, etc.), and original software configurations.
  • Original Packaging & Wrapping: The device must be returned in the original or similar quality packaging and protective wrapping to ensure safe transit.
  • No Unauthorized Opening/Manipulation: The device must not have been opened (e.g., casing removed or internal seals broken), nor manipulated (e.g., internal components swapped, unauthorized software/firmware changes).

3. Refund Determination and Fees (Inspection Required)

  • All returns are subject to a thorough inspection by PC Repair Solutions Chicago technicians. The final refund amount will depend on the device’s condition upon receipt:
  • Full Refund: A full refund will be issued only for returns that are fully compliant (received within 15 days, in the same condition, and returned due to a functional fault).
  • Non-Fault Returns: If the return is due to a customer mistake (e.g., change of mind or compatibility issues), and the device is fully compliant, a Partial Refund will be issued after deducting a 15% restocking fee. For these returns, the customer pays for all return shipping costs.
  • Partial Damage: If the device is returned with cosmetic or functional damage caused by the customer, a Partial Refund will be issued after deducting the full cost of the damage or repair.
  • Unauthorized Manipulation: If the device has been opened, manipulated, or has broken internal seals, the return may be rejected, or the refund will be drastically reduced (up to a 50% restocking fee) to cover the damage and repair costs, depending on the severity.
  • Late Returns: Any device received outside the 15-day window will be rejected.

4. How to Initiate a Return

  • RMA Required: You must receive an RMA number before shipping the device back.
  • Ship It: Use the provided label (for Section 1 returns) or your own shipping (for Non-Fault returns), ensuring the device is packaged securely and meets all conditions in Section 2.

5. Processing Refunds/Replacements

  • Once the device is received and inspected (within 3-5 business days), PC Repair Solutions Chicago will notify you of the approval status and the final calculated refund amount. Approved refunds will be processed to your original method of payment within 5-10 business days. Please note that while we process the credit quickly, your bank or card issuer may take additional time to reflect the funds.

  • Accidental Damage & Honest Reporting: If your device sustains accidental damage (e.g., drops, spills), please be honest and upfront about the circumstances when contacting us. While accidental damage is not covered by the 15-day functional guarantee, we offer our existing customers repair services or a potential replacement at a significantly lower cost compared to standard repair shops.

7. Personalized After-Sales Support Structure

  • For issues arising after the initial 15-day return window, we offer personalized support to ensure your long-term satisfaction. For Simple Fixes or Technical Questions that avoid physical repair, support is provided Free of Charge. For Component Failure (non-user induced hardware issues well beyond 15 days), we offer repair assistance that is Free or Deeply Discounted on a case-by-case basis. For issues resulting from Customer Error or Damage, we provide repair and replacement services at a Super Low Cost (covering material and labor fees only).
